Nordost Silver Screen SCART Video Cable

The Silver Screen SCART is a new 21 pin fully wired video cable from Nordost which redefines performance in this category. It offers dramatic audio and video performance improvements over conventional SCART cables and sets new standards in video cable technology.

Micro Mono-Filament Technology using a precision twisted FEP Mono-Filament thread drawn around the conductor in a helix pattern, insulation contact with the conductors is reduced by more than 80%. Extruded FEP insulation is superior to all other materials in that it has a very low signal loss and a very wide bandwidth. The use of FEP which has a very low dielectric constant, and Micro Mono-Filament technology increases signal flow, extends the bandwidth of the cable and improves transmission speed to over 85% the speed of light. This design dissipates heat and lowers the resistance of the cable which means that the signal loss is extremely low.

The Silver Screen SCART is an extremely high performance product designed for use in any A/V system. It is the most detailed and high performance SCART video cable on the market today, due to the use of our proprietary 'Micro Mono-Filament' manufacturing technology. Clarity, depth of picture and detail are sparklingly clear. Extremely precise impedance matching and dual shielding of each video cable ensures no crosstalk with audio signals.

Reducing insulation contact by more than 80% means that video bandwidth is much wider than conventional cables. Signal loss is very low at less than 1.13db at 5MHZ over 30 meters.

The audio signals are of the highest resolution due to use of extruded FEP silver plated solid core conductors. Dual layered shielding ensures that audio and video signals do not interact.

Each connector is precision machined with an overlay shield designed to eliminate any RF interference. Our proprietary SCART connectors use extremely stable 24 K gold plated pins, ensuring a tight fit and maximum signal transfer.
